The Vermont Amateur Championship

is a 72 hole stroke play event open to all Vermont amateurs.

The field is cut after 36 holes to the lowest 40 scores and ties who advance to the final day of championship play.  The final day is 36 holes.

The McCullough Cup is awarded to the club with the four lowest gross scores from 2 days of competition.
McCullough Cup teams must be selected prior to the start of the Championship.

Local qualifying to determine the Championship field will be held for those players who are not exempt into the 2017 Championship.
The number of positions available at each site is determined by the number of entrants and lowest scores.*

There are four qualifiers scheduled for 2018:

Sunday June 24, 2018 Rutland Country Club
Tuesday June 26, 2018 Country Club of Barre
Thursday June 28, 2018 Williston Golf Club
Monday July 2, 2018 Champlain Country Club

When registering for the Championship, each participant will be able to select the Qualifying Site of his choice.  If there is a gross discrepancy in the number of qualifiers for each site, the VGA will assign players to a different site in order to even up
the numbers. Players will be switched based on the order in which they signed up for the Championship, working backwards from the most recent (latest) entries.
To ensure the Qualifier of your choice, sign up early!

Entry Fee

Exempt players will pay an entry fee of $145.00

Players who must qualify will be charged an entry fee of $75.00 to enter the qualifying site of their choice.
All players who qualify to earn a spot in the Championship will be charged an additional $90.00 once entered in the Championship.  The difference goes to cover the course costs at each qualifying site.
